With a cast of 32 and over 88 costumes, The King and I is one of the biggest builds Village Theatre’s costume shop has ever had to deliver. In the “Shall We Dance” scene, costume designer Melanie Burgess wanted Anna’s dress to show her integration with the King and his palace, so the hoop skirt design is traditional but boldly orange. Kudos for the costumes!
